CELS provides intensive English programs to eligible students newly arrived in Australia from backgrounds other than English. To be eligible to enrol, students must have been in Australia for less than 6 months, be permanent residents of Australia or have an eligible temporary resident visa in Australia and aged 5 before April 30th and under 18 years of age on the first of January of their enrolment year.
Parents and guardians of eligible students should contact the school upon arrival in Australia and if there are vacancies an appointment day and time will be made for an enrolment interview and test. Places can only be made available once a student has arrived in Australia.
If the school does not have vacancies the student will be placed on the waiting list and contacted for enrolment once a place becomes available. The student should be enrolled in a mainstream school if there are no vacancies in the program.
