School Goals

At Collingwood English Language School (CELS) we aim to:

• Develop students’ English language skills, knowledge and concepts and physical and developmental skills as fully as possible so that they can make a successful transition to further education and participate effectively in the wider community.
• Provide a safe, secure learning environment in which the school community shows respect for the needs and cultures of others.
• Maintain and develop students’ self-esteem and confidence, and encourage them to value their own culture and language and those of others.
• Develop students’ understanding of Australian society and its resources and develop the skills necessary for their successful participation in this society.
